Animus Pump Has Anybody Used An Insulin Pump? What Is Your Opinion Of It?

Has anybody used an insulin pump? What is your opinion of it? - animus pump

I am diabetic type 1 and have decided to go with an insulin pump. Now my biggest decision is that the bomb should go? I'm trying to decide between the MiniMed Paradigm 722, SR-1250 animus or Insulet omnipod ... Any information would be useful and appreciated.

I started a Deltec Cozmo next week.

I chose the Cozmo for several reasons.

Let me begin by saying why he had decided against the paradigm Omnipen to begin.

The paradigm is noteworthy because it is readings IT custody. But the guard-bit upgrade from $ 1000. I can not afford. Furthermore, the sensors are $ 35 each thereafter. And finally, you can not even decisions about their diabetes management based on what he says. Experiment with the same frequency. He did not know how the paradigm, it is not water resistant and use proprietary infusion sets. Shared responsibility means that you need to buy MiniMed. I also heard on various message boards that Minimed has customer service gone downhill recently.

The omnipod looks good, also the obvious advantage of this tube. But decided against them because the pod bit stops working after 72 hours. No matter what. And you can not be stored inside left insulin. If for any reason you need to take the podCan not happen again, you must start with a new jacket. In addition, the company is relatively new. I decided I did not go to a stable society.

Las Animas is also nice. It was a great diversity in my second. But there were some things that bother me about it. The first is that the slots for things, rather than controlled at the Cozmo. I was also annoyed by the lack of a built-in counter, and the fact that while the supply quantities of carbohydrates and glucose levels in blood to calculate the bolus dose, while it is removed from memory if you still need a separate check for this.

Cozmo finally chosen for several reasons.
"Means there are multiple home screens. This that you see a lot of information without going into a menu: BIO current basal-bolus BG last last time, date, emergency information, tons of equipment.
"Teams are normal perfusion (the same with the spirits)
"It is waterproof (and the fact Animas omnipod)
"You have 4000 events in memory, including tests of the BG, Bolused to do the amounts of carbohydrates, primes, Alaram (Minimed only 3 days worth of information on Animas, I do not remember reading or carbohydrates BG).
He joined meter freestyle (as omnipod)
-You can customize everything you
"The updates are free software
"Customer service has started at the end so far. It processes data from my insurance in a few hours, and I Overnighter brochure, DVD and the introduction of software when I asked her.

I was Juvinille with diabetes diagnosed less than a month ago. Although it is new to me, I feel as if Manag EIT very good. I imagine the pump, because the change of lifestyle is very difficult for me. it would be much easier for RME to have a bomb. I hate to eat on a schedule too! Diabetes sucks!
